The debut of the original Zonda C-12 made me fall in love with supercars again. The company was started by an ex-Lamborghini employee, Horacio Pagani. The design of the car was crazy, with frog eyed rear view mirrors, central exhaust, carbon fiber construction and a huge 7.3 liter V12 made by Mercedes. The exclusivity that came with each purchase was mind blowing. Bespoke leather driving shoes and custom made luggage that matched the already amazing looking interior were parts of the package.
The 2009 Zonda R is purpose made for track use and I think it is an absolute stunner. It features a dry sump 7.3 merc v12 pumping out an astounding 750 hp at 8000 rpm and 710 Nm of torque. More info here.
