Ossa 250 Monocoque

Sometimes I wonder why successful designs like this amazing machine are scrapped (yes, there was a tragic death involved, but isn’t that an accepted risk when road racing motorcycles ?). Is the twin-spar frame, inline 4 recipe so good that anything else is not even worth trying ?
