Classic Racing Motorcycles – Mick Duckworth

Even when things are down right now, with the bad state of economy and all, this is one of the most exciting times of my life. I now have the opportunity to pursue something that I only dreamed of – to be able to build my own motorcycle and race it. For inspiration, I decided to look into the history of motorcycle racing. I found this book at the Iowa City Public Library, and it is a really good read. This book pictorially illustrates the evolution of racing motorcycles, from the pre-WW2 supercharged motorcycles like the Velocette Roarer to modern day eccentrics like the Norton JPS rotary. The motorcycles are well described, and the unique features of each motorcycle are highlighted.
